This is a lovely, simple English early 19th century antique iron rushlight, a very original example of an early form of lighting, not a 1980’s reproduction. Stands well on spade shaped feet and has a cone shaped counter =balance on a short arm. Works / hinges well, a pleasing example that dates to around 1820.
