Edwardian Large Antique Silver and Cairngorm Letter Opener 1906

1900 - 1920
Description

An absolutely gorgeous Edwardian antique Scottish silver letter opener or page turner. Made in Edinburgh in 1906 by the Royal goldsmiths Thomas Smith and Sons. It has a beautifully cut very large Cairngorm in the top and a full set of hallmarks on the blade. There is very intricate cast Celtic knotwork around both sides of the handle. The letter opener or page turner which comes in its original case is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. A lovely piece of Scottish silver by Thomas Smith who was based in 47 George Street in Edinburgh.

WEIGHT; 160 grams or 3.5 ozst approx.
