Lobed, circular incense box from Meiji period 1868 - 1912. Beautifully hand decorated to the lid with chrysanthemum flowers, birds and Mount Fuji in the distance. Further flower sprays to both the inside of the lid and the base. The circumference is decorated all around, mainly in gold with geometric patterns. This one is high quality with raised gilding both to the lid and interior decoration. Fully signed to the base.Condition: Very good with slight wear to the gilding around the sides.
