Pair of late C19th /early C20th French ormolu-mounted marble lamp-bases in the Louis XVI period style .
The opulent figured rouge or purple marble bodies having finely cast and chased brightly-gilded ormolu embellishments with shaped swan-neck handles , floriate and leaf mounts. The tapering ovoid marble bodies mounted on ormolu socle supports, raised on stepped block bases with turned ormolu bun feet beneath .
Highly decorative pair of lamps in excellent original condition, ready to be wired to client’s specifications.
