A very fine 19th Century giltwood hall or overmantel mirror in the manner of Adams and of large proportions. The bevelled mirror glass plate is set within a stunningly hand carved, moulded and fluted giltwood frame with gorgeous lambs tongue and beaded row detail throughout. Surmounted with an intricately pierced centred crest composition of a fabulous arrangement of elegant Neoclassical motifs, comprising of a central urn with flame, scroll, trailing folate, ruffle and acanthus leaf motif detail flanked with a fabulous pair of swags of bell husks with ribbon bow motif, finely carved in high relief.
