Antique Early Metalware Pair Of 18thc Brass Deep Sconced Candlesticks. English C1730-40.
£225 $281 €270
A very fine pair of early 18thc brass candlesticks...they stand on a square base with slightly incurved chamferred corners and two knops with the top one being slightly ridged as in a mushroom top shape....what surprised me was the extra long candle sconce, something you don''t see very often....both are in excellent condition with no repairs and clearly show the ''seamed'' construction, which is always a desirable feature...
English. C1730 / 40.
