In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The desk is in good condition for its age and has been well looked after. It has a lovely rich patina and the drawers open well. The inside of the drawers are generally clean and tidy with just some minor stains and marks. There are normal signs of age and use, some minor knocks, light surface marks and a few old repairs to chips here and there but nothing detrimental. There has been a small patched repair to the leather (see photo) but overall it displays well and is certainly very usable. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
