The stone exhibits a slight colour change from blue in natural light, to bluish purple in incandescent light. Secured in a ten claw 18k yellow gold coronet collet, the sapphire sits between diamond set platinum shoulders to a slim platinum shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no evidence of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
