Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced primarily during the Qing dynasty for Western export, large porcelain punch bowls were created to serve popular punch beverages during social gatherings in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Craftsmen painted detailed oriental landscapes and pagodas using cobalt blue underglaze to appeal to European demand for Chinoiserie styles.

These vessels were formed using fine kaolin clay, painted by hand with cobalt oxide pigment onto the unfired body, and coated with a transparent glaze before high-temperature firing in kilns. This process bonded the cobalt decoration beneath a durable vitrified surface.

Authentic pieces generally display subtle variations in hand-painted details, slight irregularities in glaze texture or foot-rim construction, and characteristic blue tonal variation where cobalt pigment was painted over porcelain.

Interior designers often place large decorative bowls as central focal points on dining tables, sideboards, or console tables. They can be displayed empty to showcase internal artwork or filled with fruit, moss spheres, or dried botanicals.

Clean ceramic bowls by hand using lukewarm water and a mild detergent applied with a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive chemical cleaners, scrubbing pads, or dishwashers to prevent damage to unglazed foot rings or delicate ceramic surfaces.
