17th Century Oak Coffer

17th century
Description

17th century Oak coffer with excellent strapwork carved panels. The top front and side rails carved with foliage scrolls and the lower rails with lunettes. Unusual scallop carving to the top. Retains its interior till. English circa 1680. Probably North Country. Good colour and patination. Minor but old restoration to the legs.
