The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
A couple of bugs sit either side of the handle. A turquoise and black enamel border frames the scene and runs above the foot rim just below a gilt frieze. Underglaze blue and gilt border below the rim with gilt dentil detail to the inside and gilt vine up the back of the handle. Open crescent mark to the base c.1780, and it has a paper collection label.
It measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") high and 6.1cm (2 3/8") rim to rim.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear.
