Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco rings from the 1920s are characterised by geometric shapes, clean lines, and contrasting gemstone combinations. Jewelers often mounted coloured central stones, such as emeralds, alongside diamonds using millegrain borders and yellow gold or platinum settings.

Rings of this era commonly featured 15ct or 18ct yellow gold, platinum, or white gold overlay. Central step-cut gemstones like emeralds were typically framed with single-cut diamonds set in platinum-fronted settings.

Authentic pieces display period-specific hallmarks, such as 15ct gold stamps which were phased out in the UK by 1932. Look for hand-finished millegrain edges, geometric openwork settings, and historic stone cutting styles like emerald cuts and rose cuts.

An antique emerald ring can serve as a standalone focal piece when paired with neutral tailored clothing or minimalist contemporary jewellery to highlight the geometric silhouette and green hue.

Emeralds are sensitive to heat and chemicals, so ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals must be avoided. Clean gentle wiping using lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth preserves both the stone and the gold setting.
