ANTIQUE #SA1118199

A Magnificent Long (105 Inches) Oak Hall Bench/refectory Table Bench. Circa 1830

£1,450    $1,806    €1,742
WITH EXTREMELY RARE FEATURE. This bench has been deliberately and cleverly constructed with a slight upward curve along its length, so as to never sag. Hardly discernible when viewed side on, so cleverly and painstakingly made. Constructed in solid oak throughout and of light colour. The one piece very thick seat board with rounded ends and fabulously grained along its whole length. The frieze of peg joined construction, and the bold splayed legs confidently turned. Sound original condition and NO SAG, with great mellow colour and natural patination.

English, circa 1830.
