A beautiful very high quality heavy English solid sterling silver jug. It is hallmarked for London 1933 with the maker''s mark being that of Fowler and Polglaze who were commissioned by Aspreys at the time (the most famous piece for them perhaps being the Fox Head dish) it is marked Asprey to its base. It has been superbly made having an Arts and Crafts design and is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 5 inches (13cm) wide handle to spout by 3.25 inches (8cms) by almost 3 inches tall and weighs a very impressive 210 grams. A beautiful high quality piece.
