Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A potpourri vase, popular during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, is a lidded ceramic or porcelain vessel crafted with a perforated lid to diffuse the natural fragrance of dried flowers and spices.

Sitzendorf potpourri vases were crafted from hard-paste porcelain, finished with overglaze enamels, hand-painted polychrome decoration, intricately moulded applied floral motifs, and gilded accents.

Authentic Sitzendorf porcelain typically features underglaze blue factory trademarks on the underside, crisp moulding details, delicate hand-encrusted floral applique, and fine polychrome hand painting.

Position a pair on a fireplace mantelpiece, console table, or dining room sideboard alongside framed artwork to introduce historical contrast and delicate pastel tones to contemporary settings.

Dust gently using a clean, soft camel-hair brush or low-pressure compressed air, avoiding immersion in water or abrasive cleaning chemical agents that could damage delicate applied floral petals.
