Description

An impressive French tortoishell mantel clock standing on the original base plinth. A well proportioned case of good quality with gilt bronze mounts and glass pendulum aperture. An enamel dial with blue numerals and fine gilt hands. An 8-day duration movement striking 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Signed to the movement and dial Evelle, Beaumont. Circa 1885.
