Description

These highly sought-after artist's watercolour boxes are rarely found in anything rather than plain Mahogany, this one is nicely decorated with a central shell inlay and an attractive ebony and boxwood stringing, this too is a particularly large example.

The inside of the lid has a rarely found Mahogany pallete, impressed Winsor & Newton Limited. Underneath is the retailers paper label " Winsor & Newton / Manufacturers / By Appointment To Her Majesty, And To T.R.H. The Prince And Princess of Wales / 58 Rathbone Place London ".

The watercolour tray and ceramic palette are removable with space below to store tubes of paint and all sorts of accessories, everything you see is included with the sale, what you see is what you get.

A really charming example in excellent condition. Measures 12" x 9" x 3" tall while closed.
