This is a pair of late 1800s fruitwood travelling/ campaign candlesticks.
They can either be used as upright candlesticks for the table or they unscrew and can be used as wall hanging candlesticks. The candle sockets themselves are lined with metal, a nice sign of quality.
They would have been used for travelling purposes.
