A beautiful pair of romantic coloured stipple engraved prints titled ‘Light as Love!’ and Cupid blowing bubbles.
 
A little putto sits on a cloud and creates bubbles, a tube in his right hand and a bowl in the other with a billowing cape.
 
There is a feint title to the bottom of the engraving ‘Light as Love !’
 
A delightful antique print.
 
Published in Regency London in 1814 by the renowned engraver Charles Knight (1743–1827).

A good and clean well coloured impression on a wove paper housed within a handsome period polished rosewood frame.
 
Frame diameter size approx: 6 3/4 ins. (17 cm.)
 
charming little coloured stipple engraving depicting cupid, with butterfly wings, sitting on a wooden stool and blowing bubbles through a clay pipe.
 
Published in Georgian London by the German engraver Heinrich Sintzenich (1752–1812) who was a pupil of Francesco Bartolozzi.
 
A bright and clear impression with vivid colour held within a fine substantial period ebonised frame.
