Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Doulton introduced its famed HN series of figures in 1913, named after Harry Nixon, head of the figure painting department. These ceramic sculptures captured contemporary fashions, historical costumes, and character studies, becoming major examples of British decorative ceramic production throughout the Art Deco era.

Figures of this period were produced using fine bone china or refined earthenware slip cast into multi-piece plaster moulds. After the initial biscuit firing, the pieces were hand-painted with underglaze or overglaze enamel pigments and finished with a clear lead glaze.

Authentic pieces feature a factory printed mark on the base, which typically includes the Royal Doulton crown emblem, a lion, and the model title. They also carry a stamped or hand-painted HN reference number alongside potential painter initials or date codes.

In corporate or residential spaces, style glazed figures singly within a modern bookshelf nook, upon a marble mantelpiece, or grouped with architectural books on a console table to serve as a focused accent piece.

Dust figures regularly using a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a fine camel-hair brush to clean recessed areas. Avoid immersing the piece in water or using abrasive chemical cleaners, as these can damage cold-painted details or unglazed base rims.
