An impressive and large antique 19th-century pine domed trunk. The trunk features a hinged dome-top lid with iron straps reinforcing the corners and running across the body for added durability and visual appeal. Iron drop handles are fitted to either side for practicality. The lid opens to reveal a generously sized interior, ideal for storage. A robust and characterful piece, full of antique charm.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition overall with some signs of age and wear, adding to its character. Surface wear includes age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. The trunk shows splitting to the top and some shrinkage throughout, consistent with its age. There are signs of historic repairs to the top (pictured), which do not compromise the structural integrity of the trunk. Additionally, there is staining and some loss in places, but the piece remains solid, sound, and full of charm.
