The tray lifts out to reveal an additional lined and fitted storage area below. It has retained its original velvet lining below the lid with maker's name "Mallett & Son. Goldsmiths. Bath" in gilt lettering.

The sectioning can be removed or modified to suit a variety of uses from collecting coins and medals to storing jewellery.
It is in good condition for its age and has been very well made and looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. The interior is clean and tidy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
