A beautiful and rare antique Victorian burr walnut leather top kidney shaped desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.The quality is outstanding, this has a beautiful design and is a very practical size. The kidney shaped top has an inset black leather writing surface and walnut banding around the edges. There are two drawers which have turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. There is lovely inlaid banding all around the edges, and lovely chunky carving at the top of the legs. There is a stretchered base and the legs sit on porcelain casters.
