AC Silver has dated this Victorian Ruby Crescent Brooch to the 1890s.
This stunning and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a silver setting.

The scalloped outer circumference of the crescent-shaped setting is embellished with twenty-three claw set graduated round faceted cut natural Thai rubies, totalling 4.86ct.
The inner border of the design is ornamented with twenty-nine subtly graduated diamonds, emanating from central Old European cuts to Dutch and eight cuts.

The impressive pierced decorated brooch secures with a detachable hinged pin and clasp to the reverse; this detachable feature indicates the high quality of the piece.
This stunning antique Victorian Thai ruby and diamond crescent brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 carat gold and silver.

This impressive brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card*.
Such untreated Thai ruby brooches in this high quality are becoming increasingly difficult to locate; this crescent brooch is one of the finest examples of its type you could hope to acquire.
