Featuring an embossed star
Brass seamed Mansard Style roof
Copper Chimney topped with brass finials
Original oil reservoir and illumination reflector have been preserved
Sympathetically rewired and PAT Tested
Long braided flex and an inline switch
Suitable for use as a Table Lamp or for Wall Mounting

This substantially sized French Parisian Wall Lantern from the early 19th century, circa 1830-1840, bears the maker''s stamp of C Ouvrard et Cie Paris who were renowned makers of lanterns and candle lamps. It is crafted from steel and tole, featuring an embossed star on a brass-seamed Mansard-style
... roof and a copper chimney topped with brass finials. The lantern preserves the original oil reservoir and illumination reflector. It has been sympathetically rewired and PAT tested to maintain its authenticity, now equipped with a long braided flex and an inline switch, suitable for use as a table lamp or for wall mounting and wiring into the main circuit. Originally, it would have adorned a courtyard or entrance.
