A beautiful Victorian silver and tortoise shell tea caddy or jewellery box. Made in Chester in 1895 by Saunders and Shepherd. This box has full sets of hallmarks in no fewer than ten seperate places, amazing quality and beautifully made. The tortoise shell is intact with no damage and it also has its original lock and key. The box has been lined with green baize so it can also be used as a jewellery box. Incredible workmanship and a wonderful piece to own.
