This is a very pretty gilt and enamelled glass attar perfume bottle. These type of scent bottles are also known as an Oxford Lavender or Throwaway , as they were sold containing a sample of perfume and were intended to be thrown away after use. This particular one is a more unusual enamelled example. The four faceted sides with moulded patterns and heightened with naive enamel and gilt scroll decorations. The everted neck fitted with a gilt glass ''Penny drop'' stopper.
