English, Circa 1900.
A large mahogany bookcase, with breakfront shape and glazed doors.
This is a very big piece of furniture, breaking into 2 pieces with the top section having a dentil cornice with decorative thumbnail carvings above 3 astragal glazed doors with working locks and key. Inside each section there are 3 height adjustable shelves.
Very nicely carved rams heads are positioned each side of the doors - a really good feature on this piece.
This sits on a breakfront mahogany base, with 4 doors displaying beautiful flame mahogany oval and square shaped panels, with working locks and key. There is a single shelf inside each cupboard.
Raised on short square tapering legs with fluted detail.
In good condition, with some marks in keeping with age.
