A late 19th / early 20th century cassowary bone tool, acquired from a tribe elder in Mt. Hagen in the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. With a great colour and incised cross hatch marks to the handle. In excellent condition. 30 cm in length. It measures 3.5 cm at widest point and 2 cm at its narrowest.
