Description

A fine quality serpentine shaped Chippendale style burr walnut card table by Maples & Co. of London, Paris and Buenos Aires. The top having book matched burr walnut with straight grain walnut cross banding. The top opens and swivels to reveal a baize lined interior with polished counter wells or candle stick stands. The base having a wonderful burr walnut serpentine shaped frieze with bespoke carved shell detail and rounded corners.The table is supported on superb cabriole legs with carved knees and claw and ball feet.
