AC Silver has dated this Victorian Crystal Intaglio Brooch to the 1880s.

This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a silver setting.

The feature panel is encompassed with a pierced decorated frame accented with four yellow gold collet set square faceted emeralds to the cardinal points, totalling 0.14ct.
This impressive border is further accented with subtly curvilinear pales flanking the aforementioned emeralds and stylised bow designs, all incorporating forty-four diamonds in a combination of Dutch and mine cuts.

This antique crystal brooch with emeralds secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening.
This stunning Victorian emerald and diamond brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold and silver.

This impressive example of Cupid and Psyche jewellery is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
NOTE: * The tale of Cupid and Psyche (or Eros and Psyche) follows the journey of Psyche, a mortal woman who, after undergoing a series of challenging trials imposed by Venus, ultimately reclaims the love of her divine husband, Cupid, and is granted immortality; a story of overcoming great obstacles for love.
