Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s often features geometric structural forms, bold gemstone colours, and high-purity metals such as platinum. During this era, prominent central gemstones framed by accent diamond halos were widely produced for evening wear.

Vintage dress rings frequently incorporate platinum or gold mountings combined with coloured central gemstones, including amethysts, sapphires, or emeralds. These central stones are commonly framed by natural diamonds held in hand-crafted claw settings.

Authentic 1930s rings display period-specific metal hallmarks, precision hand-finishing around settings, and period cuts such as smooth cabochons or early brilliant cuts. Platinum mountings from this era also exhibit distinct density and subtle age wear to the under-gallery.

An antique amethyst dress ring serves as a focal statement piece designed for formal occasions or evening wear. Pairing rich purple gemstones with cool metal wristwear or neutral apparel highlights the colour saturation of the stone.

Amethyst and platinum jewellery should be cleaned gently using warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. Exposure to extreme heat, harsh chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaners should be avoided to preserve the integrity of the gemstone.
