In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The inner design of ribbon swags encircles a vacant cartouche to the centre. The sides of the salver are embellished with a neo-classical style pierced lip with laurel swag and medallion chased decoration. It stands on three bracket feet with matching laurel swag decoration.

It is a stylish and impressive piece, weighing approximately 1804g.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1889 and the maker Joseph & Horace Savory (Goldsmiths Alliance Ltd)
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some very faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
