Superb George IV freestanding rosewood 4 tier whatnot attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. Crafted from beautifully figured rosewood and having a ratcheted adjustable reading shelf and retaining its original and removable book rest. The 4 shelves are supported by well turned and tulip carved columns, the lower shelf over a mahogany lined drawer with original turned pulls. The whatnot is raised on short turned legs and brass cup casters.
