Large 19th Century Engraving of Fox and Puppies After Samuel Carter

Description

A large and lovely mixed method engraving by Joseph Bishop Pratt from the painting by Samuel Carter depicting a fax taking up squatters rights in the puppies kennel.

Published 1st January 1877 by Henry Graves and co. London. Very good condition. Presented with 8 ply archival deep bevel mount and backing ready for framing.

Image size 28.5 inches by 22.5 inches. Mounted size 37.25 inches by 32 inches.

Please note top left of photo and also just above the fox's head there are 2 light patches. These are just the reflection from the acetate wrapping round the engraving caused by the flash on the camera. The actual image is excellent.
