We are delighted to offer you this fine Edwardian inlaid mahogany display cabinet/ bookcase.

It consists of 2 parts, the top section for display or for books with the swan-neck pediment.

The 2 glazed doors with the carved traceries that open to allow access to the adjustable shelves inside, the oak shelves edged in mahogany and with inlaid banding. To each side of the doors are inlays running down the stiles of a chain of bell flowers.

The serpentine base is fitted with 2 drawers, below the bed that has the superb urn and swag inlays. The drawer fronts with lovely foliate designs and the original brass handles.

It stands on long tapering legs finishing with spade feet, these also have fine inlays.

The legs joining the shaped stretcher and a tablet to the centre also displaying his mastery of marquetry.
