Description

An exceptional Georgian (c1714-c1790) Oak Chest on Chest with a secretaire drawer and hidden compartments. The middle drawer opens to reveal a secretaire writing area with small drawers, pigeon holes and a mirror. There are three further small hidden drawers located behind the mirror section in the middle, which is a great place to store important or small valuables!

The top section with moulded and dentil cornice, blind fretwork detailing and an unusual configuration of five short drawers and two long drawers. The base section has a secretaire drawer and two further long drawers raised on shaped bracket feet. Chest on chests are great for storage, because of the two chests on top of each other, meaning double the storage in the same room space.
