A Fine Quality Late Victorian Period Satinwood Partners Desk

19th century
Description

A fine Quality Late Victorian Period satinwood partners desk. The rectangular top veneered in satinwood with kingwood banding and an inset blue leather writing surface. Each side having three rectangular mahogany lined drawers with finely cast brass handles. Having twin cupboards to each side with finely carved and reeded columns and a central panelled section again banded in kingwood. One side having three internal mahogany lined drawers, the other with sliding trays. The reverse having shelved interiors. The ends also banded in kingwood and raised on an inverted stepped plinth with inset brass and porcelain castors. English circa 1880-1900, superb quality throughout. Breaks into three sections for easy transportation

Dimensions: 50" wide x 28.5" deep x 28" high (knee hole 24" high x 21"wide)
