An exquisite antique Victorian Scottish brooch, decorated with an alternating pattern of pink cabochon garnets and green cabochon peridots around the outside, haloing a large orange citrine crowned in a raised claw mount in the centre. It�s fashioned in 15ct gold with beautiful open-workmanship and foliate engraving around the gallery. Scottish jewellery was at the height of popularity in the mid-1800s and saw traditional Celtic designs decorated with an abundance of coloured gemstones. It was a personal favourite of Queen Victoria�s whose frequent trips to Balmoral Castle saw her return with many beautiful souvenirs that influenced the trend across Britain.
