The solid top of the Hall Bench is over one inch in thickness and has been hand painted to give a Faux Marble finish with a feature thick coach line surrounding and above the thumb moulded edge. Below this is the apron which features the Neoclassical Vitruvian Scroll design, long used as an architectural feature and on furniture. The legs are elegantly turned and taper to give pleasing proportions. The base colour used is a Distressed Mottled Antique White and the veining to the marble, the coach lines, Vitruvian Scroll and feature lines are in Distressed Mottled Powdery Blue.

By their very nature the designs have to be made using geometric calculations to give the precise number of scrolls required and these are then drawn out by hand and framed within hand painted coach lines. The paints are colours used in Georgian times and are mixed to our traditional recipe and applied by hand in the traditional manner. We describe the colours and finish with more contemporary names which we hope are accurately descriptive.
