This antique one piece conductor''s baton which is made of ebony has silver end fittings which are hallmarked for 1909 and have a beautiful aesthetic design.
The central band has an inscription that reads: S. Bardgett From Clifton Choir 1910.
A quality conductor''s baton in great condition that would make a very nice gift.
Hallmarked: Top and bottom end fittings are hallmarked with Lion for sterling silver. Leopards head for London and the date letter O for 1909. Maker''s mark E.N for Ebeneezer Newman & Co.
Central band is not hallmarked but tests as silver.
Dimensions of Baton: Length: 52 cm (20 1/2'').
Weight: 68 g.
Condition: Excellent used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age.
