Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

French Art Deco clocks, predominantly crafted between 1920 and 1939, are distinguished by geometric symmetry, clean architectural lines, and bold contrast. They often combine varied shades of marble or onyx with stylized bronze or spelter animal sculptures.

Makers frequently utilized multi-coloured marble, alabaster, and onyx for the clock body, paired with dials made of chrome, nickel, or silvered metal. Figurative accents were commonly cast in spelter (regule), bronze, or brass.

Authentic pieces feature mechanical movements often stamped with French maker marks, geometric numeral typography, diamond or square dial orientations, and cold-cast or patinated metal figures attached directly to stone bases.

Position the clock as a focal point on a fireplace mantelpiece, sideboard, or bookshelf. Its strong geometric silhouette pairs effectively with minimalist modern decor, brass accents, or rich velvet upholstery.

Dust stone surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners that can etch natural marble or onyx. Mechanical clock movements should be serviced by a professional horologist every few years to ensure functionality.
