Description

This stunning Art Deco silver and vivid blue guilloche enamel jar is dated Birmingham 1929. It was made by William Neale & Son Ltd. The exquisite and very rich blue guilloche enamel lid with solid silver finial. It is fitted on a compressed clear glass body with a conforming guilloche enamel border and star-incised base. The inner lid with original mirror.

Hallmarks:

WN LTD for William Neale & Son Limited.

Lion passant.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "E" for 1929.

Condition:

Excellent.

Enamel lid in excellent condition.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Height: 7cm / 2.6 inches.

Diameter: 11cm / 4.4 inches.
