An exquisite antique Georgian amethyst cross pendant, set with ten cushion cut amethysts with a deep velvety-purple hue. They graduate in size from 0.80 – 1.5ct and are held in 18ct gold settings with ornate cannetille workmanship around the sides.
 
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
 
This is a wonderful antique Georgian cross, beautifully preserved from the early 19th Century, with a luxurious collection of amethysts on display.
