Ebony and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1918
and makers mark Jonathan Howell & Co Ltd.
The silver top is decorated with repousse scroll and floral work with a blank cartouche to the top. Super condition with just minor surface marks and dinks but these have not gone through the silver.
The shaft is sturdy and being ebony it''s a medium weight and will support a good weight.
It measures 90.8 cm 35 3/4 inches in length, the pommel is 3.5 cm 1 3/8 inches wide and 4.2 cm 1 9/16 inches long.
The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel.
It''s in excellent condition no damage or repairs. The shaft is good and strong and also in excellent condition.
