Malacca wood and hallmarked silver gilt walking stick or cane.
The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1918.
Makers mark for Benjamin Jacobs Trading as M Jacobs Ltd and retailed by the famous Thomas Brigg & Sons of London which is now part of Swaine and Adeney Brigg.
Plain silver button top that has been gold plated.
It measures 92 cm 36 1/4 inches in length, the pommel is 2.8 cm 1 1/8 inch wide and 5 cm 2 inches long.
The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel.
It''s in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you''d expect at this age.
Some minor surface marks to the silver where the gold plate has worn, mainly around the top edge of the pommel as shown but no holes or splits.
The shaft is strong with a few natural colour sport. It will support a good weight.
