Huge impressive Master Portraiture of Elzbieta Branicka Countess Krasinka and her children 1853, after the renowned artist Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873)
The Countess is depicted with her daughter Maria Beatrix and her two sons Zygmunt and Wladyslaw.
The original oil painting is in the Palace Museum in Wilanow Poland.
AFTER FRANZ XAVER WINTERHALTER b.1805-d.1873
Franz Xaver Winterhalter was a German painter and lithographer born on 20th April 1805 in Menzenschwand Sankt Blasien Germany.
He was well known for his flattering portraits of royalty and upper-class society in the mid-19th century. His name has become associated with fashionable court portraiture.
He died in Frankfurt Germany on 8th July 1873.
FRAME
Mounted within this magnificent heavy duty antique style ornate swept gilt frame which greatly enhances the portrait.The frame is an expensive gallery standard example which would have cost a considerable sum to purchase,
