Rare Howard & Sons Armchair

A wonderful and rare armchair by the renowned London makers Howard & Sons. Raised on 4 turned walnut legs and brass casters. The back left leg stamped with the serial number the makers name and address. The design of this model usually presents as a daybed with a long seat which makes this chair quite unusual and likely a commissioned piece made to the clients specification. England c1900
 
We have fully restored this chair and put it into the original replica Howard & Sons factory cotton lining ready for use as is or for a fabric of your choice.
 
The seat has been fully replaced with new soft coil springs, horse hair filling and a new thick feather and down seat cushion. The arms, wings and inside back retain the original fillings with the back also having new springs and webbing.
