Very smart, contrasting, mostly black and white, Scottish banded agate necklace. The agates are very good quality with several ''bands'' to the beads. Knotted between each bead in typical Victorian stringing to save the stones rubbing against each other and to avoid losing any should the string eventually wear. This necklace has hardly any graduation so it is very contemporary in style and fashion. The smallest bead is 10 mm. diameter and the largest about 12 mms.There is a small gold fastener but the necklace is long enough to simply place over the head and wear as a double string. The overall length is a luxurious 84 cms (33 inches).Carriage and insurance is included on most items within UK and Mainland Europe.
