Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box for Six - Cherubs or Angels

Description

A charming Edwardian ring / jewelry box with a fitted interior in a rich Burgundy velvet, to accommodate six rings.

The exterior is beautifully decorated with an almost Art Nouveau flair with organic foliate sprays forming panels around the sides, each containing a pair of winged cherubs or angels.

The domed top is decorated in a similar way, again with pretty pair of winged putti figures in the centre.

Charming in every way, this box bears a hallmark for Birmingham 1902, and a makers mark of the silversmith's, Synyer & Beddoes - Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes.

Excellent condition, measuring 5" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" tall to top of domed lid.
